We work with our clients to customize these platforms to meet their specific product requirements - but because the platforms have been pre-engineered, we have a jump-start by 75-80% on a project and eliminates the need to start a development from scratch. Our platform families are the MityDSP and the MityCCD.
The MityDSP family is a CPU platform with a suite of building blocks containing a robust framework of designs, pre-engineered interface cores, protocol and device support and software tools. Our customers – typically the developers of applications with sophisticated data processing requirements - embed the MityDSP engines in their products. While some customers utilize the MityDSP Developers’ Kits to put together a fully customized solution from off-the-shelf components, most look to Critical Link to provide last-mile customization. This approach makes the MityDSP a perfect fit for their applications by configuring the dozens of available interfaces and/or designing to meet small form factor requirements -- fully custom hardware development accelerated using off-the-shelf technology.
The MityCCD family of scientific cameras have the MityDSP embedded within them, enabling our customers to perform data processing and analysis in the camera, eliminating the requirement for connection to an external host. We offer a choice of cameras with multiple sensors from E2V and Hamamatsu, as well as a fully customizable camera platform that allows you to utilize the sensor of your choice. In all cases, Critical Link engineers can provide the MityDSP customization for our customers.
