MitySOM-1810FARM9 and User Programmable FPGA SoM with PROFIBUS

Overview

PROFIBUS Systems requiring an embedded CPU board that can provide an array of hardware interfaces as well as rich user interfaces will find the MitySOM-1810F System on Module to be an appropriate choice. The MitySOM-1810F features the new PROFIBUS enabled Sitara AM1810 ARM CPU from Texas Instruments married to a Xilinx FPGA. Providing a certified PROFIBUS solution utilizing the PRU, Texas Instruments has made it easier and more cost effective for system designers to interface to PROFIBUS using a Sitara solution.

The Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA on these modules serves to expand the available I/O capabilities of this module beyond PROFIBUS and the other interfaces directly available on the Sitara as well as provide the opportunity for designers to develop intensive math coprocessing without requiring a complete DSP.
