Critical started out as an electronics engineering consulting firm. And we remain an electronics engineering consulting firm, continually looking for challenging projects where our expertise can help solve challenging problems. We work with our customers on product components, legacy product makeovers, and complete new product development.
 
Over time, we developed an expertise in embedded systems. Over more time, our experience led us to develop a custom, configurable platforms — the MityDSP engines - which we provide to our customers to embed in their products. We have built these engines to include a set of robust, core elements, as well as a broad set of parameters that are customizable. In some cases, Critical Link does the customization. In others, our customers do the customization themselves using our Development Kit.
 
Critical Link is also set up to manufacture full production runs of the customized MityDSPs.
 
We have also embedded customizable MityDSP technology in scientific cameras, the MityCCD, which our customers, in turn, embed in their products.
